Underground Utilities: Water

ACAD's experience in waterline installation includes excavation, installation and appropriate government permitting for a variety of situations. For example, the company installed culinary water improvements for the City of Sterling in Utah. The project included a 250,000-gallon concrete water tank and construction of the pump house. ACAD excavated and installed waterline through mountainous terrain at a 1:1 degree slope. The crew managed sub-contractors on-site and scheduled construction throughout the project. In an isolated area of eastern Utah, the project required advanced planning to meet scheduling needs. The waterline ran through Fish Lake National Forest and bordered the popular Palisades State Park. The crew kept environmental concerns foremost, and the project was completed on time without distrubing fish and outdoor enthusiasts.

Located adjacent to Quail Lake in Hurricane, Utah, Quail Creek Ranch was designed as a corporate retreat. The property borders the Virgin River, and the ranch features a fish race-way, 13-acre stocked fish pond, and a 20 ft. rock fountain for irrigation storage. ACAD also installed underground utilities and an access road. The firm oversaw other contractors on-site and obtained appropriate permits for the water division from Quail Lake throughout construction. The project manager also designed and built weirs for measuring the water taken from the Virgin River.
